Rosalita Elaine Feero Obituary (1947

EDDINGTON- Rosalita Elaine (Rogers) Feero passed away on October 10, 2018, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine. She was born on December 16, 1947, in Waterville, to Richard and Eleanor (Davis) Rogers. Rosalita was a graduate of Old Town High School class of 1965. She attended classes at the University of Maine, Orono campus, working towards a degree in Liberal Studies. Rosalita worked as an accountant at Great Northern Paper in Millinocket for many years. She retired from the company in 1998. She was an avid artist, using many media, but found her truest passion in fiber arts. Her wall hangings and installations can be found in many homes and businesses. Her artwork has been displayed and sold at the Ironbound Gallery in Camden, Maine. Be it a 6” x 6” framed representation of fresh water mussels or a wall-length quilt, the love Rosalita had for her craft was apparent in every detail. Rosalita's appreciation for beauty did not end with art. Along with her husband, they converted the front yard of their Eddington home into a sprawling flower garden. Each year it grew a little bigger as new plants and new ideas pushed the garden past its boundaries. The joy she took from her garden in bloom was eclipsed only by her love for her family. Rosalita was predeceased by her parents and an infant brother. She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Lyman Feero Sr. of Eddington, and her sister Irene (Walter) Chase of Medway. She is also survived by her children, Aimee (Roger) Medlin of Chancellorsville, VA and Lyman (Janeen) Feero Jr. of Old Town. Rosalita also cherished her eleven grandchildren, Joshua, Samuel, Michael, Anna, Lillia, Nicole, Eva, Emily, Mathew, Keegan and Nicholas. A celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Birmingham Funeral Home, Old Town, from 4 - 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Maine Alliance for Art Education, in her name, online at (http://maineartsed.org) under the heading Support Our Work!
