OLD TOWN / PRESQUE ISLE - Louis Lawrence Doucette Jr., 50, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2013, after a long courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Louis was born February 25, 1963, in Bangor, to Maxine (Martin) and the late Louis Doucette Sr.

Louie, fondly referred to as "Brutus, Big Lou, Bones and Taz" was a heavy equipment operator for the cities of Brewer and Presque Isle. He was a hard working single father who dedicated his life to his family. Louie's heart never skipped a beat when it came to reaching out a helping hand to someone in need. Louie was grateful for his many close friends who came together and organized several fundraisers to help in his fight against cancer, which inspired him to "Pay It Forward" any chance he got.

Louie's passion in life was spending any chance he got outdoors. He loved music, hunting, four wheeling, shooting guns, and spending time with his family and friends out to his camp, the "Owls Nest".

Louie is survived by his mother, Maxine (Martin) Doucette; Son, Colby, his girlfriend Brooke-Ann Hammond and Louie's grandson Mason "Lunchbox" Doucette of Presque Isle; Daughters, Kristi of Presque Isle and Tori of Old Town; and his "Red- Headed Stepchild", Ryan Forsyth of Bangor; brother in-laws Charles "Chick" O'Berry, Kevin Gastia, and Scott King; sister-in-laws, Crystal Gastia and Carin Dionne, and a very special aunt Linda Doucette; several aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews, and friends including his beloved "Fat Tina", as well as the "woman he loved to hate", Rosa McNally. Louie was predeceased by his father Louis, sister Linda O'Berry, and very special "brothers from another mother", Clint Brown, Randy Nason and Tony Damboise.

Family and friends are invited to visit from noon-3 p.m. with the funeral service immediately following on Friday, June 14th, 2013 at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main Street, Old Town.
